However, I'm also getting crash on mapchange at times. I've been

Same config as Grant.
For me, I can send actual queries to the server via hlsw (eg, "status") and
get a response. But, it's still showing the servers as timing out and
unreachable. Can someone else confirm this?

This. There is no legitimate reason to have your reserve slots visible.
Those unaware will try to join them, and those playing will get kicked out

Every item? Isn't that what wildcards are for? I've allowed some specific
models where a wildcard would be dangerous, but otherwise it is quite useful

Any particular progress on V4? I've been using serverchecker for ages and
would love an update. Also, i know it's doubtful, but do you think there
will ever be even a miniscule update to v3 that lets yo control the servers
via commandline? eg i could do "ServerChecker.exe /Stop Server 1", and mix

For what it's worth, a new snapshot of SM dropped 30-ish minutes ago that is
working for everyone so far in #hlserveradmins

Agreed. Even if you don't have hosting space, many of us other admins have
hosting with plenty of bandwidth. We could have a central site (Maybe
developed by Tony?) that could select automatically from a list of mirrors
setup for this purpose, I think. I have a 100mbit server I'd be glad to use
fo
Addendum: And, because the central site would distribute it to the mirrors,
it would guarantee that they're the same everywhere with the same hash (aka:
not an incomplete update).

I said I'd send a reminder about this a few times a year, so that new admins
and what not could notice it! So, here is said reminder :) Below is the same
message as the last time it was sent

list, want to have a dialogue w

Additionally, is it CS:S only, or does it affect other source games :/ I'm
going to assume it does...

Just to make sure, before continuing on: When you actually did the update,
did you do as you typed (-verifyall), or the proper "-verify_all"?

Maybe it's because I'm tired, but this made very little sense to me.
Therefore: What? Can you rephrase or elaborate?

Can anyone report success/failure with this, how it is compared to KAC, etc?
I'm wary of putting untested stuff I don't have the source to on my server
on a whim.

I've been noticing people, both intentionally and unintentionally, having
their Sentry rockets killing team mates. Intentionally, because some people
know it can be done. Unintentionally, because people destroy their sentries
for revenge crits. I know this type of thing used to be done by Soldiers
You can try setting the region. I set mine to Japan, and it's downloading.
Slowly, but it is. The Alien Swarm release has the servers hammered -- it
was not a good idea to do a tf2 release the day they released alien swarm
