I don't know how to fix this, but I do know how to avoid it. Instead of
tabbing to the tree to change folders, press control + Y. That will give you
a list of all your folders. You can use first letter navigation in there
too. When you find the folder you want, just hit enter.
Running JAWS from the system tray doesn't effect your desktop icon. I have

talked about was the differences between the two. One of those differences
was that Firefox can only select and copy from the virtual cursor. It can't
copy the on-screen content. I suspect this is a limitation of Firefox.
