[JAWS-Users] Jim I need some help with downloading

2015-09-02 Thread Morey Worthington

Hi again Jim.
If you answer this mailing by sending to me directly it would be appreciated
also.
I still cannot get the W10 file to download from your web site. Here is what
I have done to get the task downloaded.

1. Went to the website by the link supplied by you.
2. Found the link to the W10 and Jaws file (either one).
3. Clicked on it and it opened up a menu that has open or save in it.
4. clicked on the save button and then another menu came up asking what I
would like to save it as.

5. From this point nothing happens.
6. I asked my sighted wife to see if there was a download link on this page
to do this task and there is nothing she can see.

I feel like a fool, but in some very easy to understand words can you tell
me where to go on the site, using the link supplied by you, so that I may
get it downloaded

Meaning...
This is what you do.
1..
2.
3..
I sure would be grateful for your help, if just to find out where I am going
wrong.

Using Jaws 16, newest bill, and Windows 7HP.
Thanks again,
Morey Worthington

Re: [JAWS-Users] A question related MS Outlook 2013

2015-09-02 Thread Kimsan
I believe you need to go to account settings, and in there it will ask what
would you like to name this account or refer too. Something along them
lines.
Press alt f, right arrow, there will or should be a combobox with account
names, press enter on the account name, the next dialog, click change, then
that part you asked about and I mentioned should be there. I just saw it,
but I only have one account which is named personal.
Me personally, it drove me nuts when it use to say kimsans...@gmail.com each
time I opened up outlook.

Respected friends, I have just configured second account.

Since then whenever I open outlook, it says personal folder.

How do I sat it as outlook-inamuddi...@gmail.com-outlook
 ?

Before configuring second account it used to say that which I want.

Your quick response in this regard would highly be appreciated.

Re: [JAWS-Users] activate jaws

2015-09-02 Thread Gerald Levy

Is your JAWS SMA up to date? If not,you will first have to update your SMA
to JAWS 16 before you can activate it. I just upgraded from JAWS 9 to JAWS
16, and was charged $400 by FS. If your SMA is already up to date and you
want to activate JAWS 16 without an Internet connection, call FS at
800-444-4443, option 1, and one of their tech support agents can walk you
through the process of activating JAWS manually without an Internet
connection. Be sure to have your JAWS serial number on hand for the agent.
I just upgraded from Open Book 7 to Open Book 9, and because I was not able
to activate it over the Internet for some unknown reason, an FS tech support
agent helped me go through the process manually. She was very patient and
helpful and got OB 9 activated without using the Internet,so hopefully, you
will have a similarly positive experience.

Re: [JAWS-Users] [EXTERNAL] Can't access an attachment in outlook

2015-09-02 Thread Ann Medlar
Hi,
When using Windows 10, Outlook 13 saving attachments is a bit diffirent.
Highlight the message but don't open it.
Press alt+f for file and down arrow to save attachments and enter.
Enter on okay
Then you have dialog to save it.
I wanted to save it to my external drive so I needed to shift tab to
The tree view. Then I down arrow many times to elements which is closed and
right arrow to open. Then my documents is closed and arrow to open.
Everything is easy when you know how. Thanks to all on this list for
teaching me how.

Kevin,

As I said, the authorization CD only contains your authorization number to
run Jaws, it does not contain an activation number for your computer that
activates it on your computer, that is why I told you to go to the
fsactivate.com website and download an activation key for your particular
version of Jaws.

If you're not sure what I'm talking about, go to the following link:

This has detailed instructions for activating your version of Jaws on your
computer.

Good luck.

I was wrong it did not activate my jaws, the copy of the authjaws cd doesn't
work, I just double click on authcode and all it does is copy the
authorization number into the computer not jaws itself.
so it still asks for a license code

Hi Kevin,

Go to fsactivate.com and download an activation key.

You download it to a USB drive of some kind, then use that to activate the
Jaws on the computer with no internet access.

Good luck.

Hi All,

I received an email from a work colleague that has an attachment. I know
this because outlook tells me there's an attachment as does the text of
the email. But no matter what I do, I can't locate the attachment to
either open or save it. There's no attachment tab and when I explore
with the jaws cursor there is no attachment either at the top or the
bottom of the email.

I've gotten other emails like this and I assume the inaccessibility has
something to do with how the sender attaches the document. But I'm not
certain what method produces this result.

Can anyone help? This attachment is the template for a report I need to
prepare, so it's pretty important that I gain access to it.

Thanks,
Kimber

The disadvantage to doing that is that you are potentially allowing

Re: [JAWS-Users] remove formatting in word

2015-09-02 Thread Patti
This is how I remove formatting from a document.
1, select what you want to clean up
2, press ctrl, shift, S
3, press f6, and press enter on clear
4, press f6 again
5, press ctrl, spacebar
6, up arrow to close the dialog box.
Patti
I heard that many word shortcut keys have remained the same for each version
of word!is there a shortcut key to remove any formatting in a word document
this would be bold, itallic, etc.
