I was busy but not rushed.
Of the three options in glassing over foam, the least desirable is glassing
over foam without sealing the foam with one of the first two options. The
foam will suck up a lot of pure resin and in my experience, having done a
couple of small pieces that way, tends to give you a "dry layup".

160 sq/ft of wing would go
about 10lbs/sq ft. At 8.7 lbs/sq.ft you will feel the bumps at the
higher speeds. I'm probably 10+lbs/sq.ft and anything over 130 to 140
mph in turbulence starts getting pretty rough.

At 150 mph average speed (which I doubt)
,it would be a 15.7 hour trip with a fuel burn of 3.18 gph, no

for faring in a belly board, how much work is there to building a 1/4 inch
ramp on the lead and trail edge of the board that conforms to the shape

My board is electrically operated but I like Ken's idea of the
spring loaded up for a hand actuated board. A fast retract
is appreciated for a "go-around". Mine takes 7 seconds but
that can seem like 7 minutes as you approach the tree line !
