I was in Honiton a year or so back, spent a weekend there.  I thought I wrote a posting to Arachne, but maybe not.  The lace shop was definitely closed, very little traces of it.  The museum was open, just winding down for the season at the time, and well worth a visit.  Lots to buy in the shop!
