Receivers are
the opposite of appenders in that they can be configured to receive
remote/eternal events. They can be configured as part of a logger
repository, same as loggers and appenders. Once the receiver

overhead. Interested parties will manage to build from CVS. Building
from CVS is not that hard. Moreover, those for whom CVS constitutes an

binding
objects together and being notified when
the current options are, but some clients might be
interested in the actual change itself. For example, an Editor GUI
would want to know when the property has changed for display purposes,
even if it has not been activated yet.

Can anyone think of a reason why we shouldn't have the
ThrowableInformation available for output via PatternLayout?
I would propose that %T is used for this. I am happy to implement this
and provide test cases if agreeable.
