Seville, Spain, the week of November 14th, 2016. The call for papers
(CFP) for this event is now open, and will remain open until
September 9th.

I've spoken with about three people so far who are quite experienced with
OSGi, so we'll be getting some advice (and possibly code) sometime soon.
It sounds like Tomcat might be interested in replacing their ad hoc logging
system with Log4j 2, so that would be really neat! Same goes for Karaf, and

I did push component, receivers, etc to release since I expected
Chainsaw to be pushing for a release and they'd be done
simultaneously. However, there has been no chainsaw commits since
the log4j 1.2.15 release. I think we should at least get the
temporary encoding fix on UTF-8's and w

away. I'm not going this year (at least at the moment), but have
enjoyed the last 3 ApacheCON US's.
The monthly board meeting is in the middle of ApacheCON and Logging
Services quarterly report is due for the me
ApacheCON US 2006 (http://www.apachecon.com) will be held on October
9-13 in Austin, TX. Registration prices increase yet again tomorrow
and hotel reservations should be made soon to take advantage of the
special conference room rates. I've tentatively scheduled a Logging
Service
I plan to go. It would be great to see everyone else there as well!
