Quick bit of digging and I've found the following; [Heat Magazine, 19-25 May 2001] "The producers of Buffy, Fox TV, have offered ridiculous soundbites to justify switching TV networks in the US. The WB, home to Buffy since it's inception, did not match the "passion" and "vision" demonstrated by rival network UPN, which has secured the show for two years. The fact that UPN bid a total of $22 million more than WB wasn't mentioned by Fox. "UPN sontinued to show it's "vision" and "passion" with the $50,000 gift baskets it sent eight Buffy cast regulars to welcome them to their new network - which included Cristal champagne and a Cartier watch, Sarah Michelle Gellar - who once said she'd quit Buffy if it left WB, then retracted the comments - was given a Gucci necklace." So, was that fun or what? Thanks to everyone who turned up and a special thanks for everyone who made it possible - Damian (obviously), Merijn Broeren, Mike Davis, Paul Mison and Andy Williams (for paying for the hall) and the unnameable organisation who brought Damian to London in the first place. Our next meeting is on Thursday. I know you might be suffering from too much Perl Mongers, but please bear in mind that we need to spend at least £250 in this pub the Dave Cantrell has booked for us, so every little helps :) Oh, and I've had a quick look at Bleach.pm and Morse.pm and wish to raise a bug against Morse.pm. It doesn't actually convert stuff to Morse Code, just to something that _looks_ like Morse Code. See you Thursday, Dave... p.s. And don't get me started on my nightmare journey. I thought that all night buses went thru Trafalgar Sq - the N19 doesn't :(

Would someone like to give me an idea as to how many of these things are meant to be consumed by how many people. How is it presented? The impression I get from above is thas it is 1 TVR per person, in a 4 pint pitcher to last all night.

See the points people have with noise and smoke though. The TVRs were 34 quid each but had about 8 shots of vodka and 8 shots of tequila in and 6 cans of redbull. Which is quite expensive but not *that* bad. I liked it because it only took 20 mins to get home :)
