Scalebox does not work with DVI preview, but should work once you

As I understand The suggestion was that we have a key that behaves much

recently upgraded one of my machines to openSUSE 10.3 and the middle button
no longer works quickly or reliably for any app (not just LyX). I now need to
click up to 4 times and wait before it works.

latex2html which was bodging tables. Unfortunately this fix was not
carried through into some Linux distros.

The program "convert" is very general so I think that the same technique
should be able to convert any image format to EPS.

I'm not quite sure, I seem to remember that by default Ctrl-. (the 'full
stop' or decimal point) is the compose key. I put:
keycode 116 = Multi_key
keycode 115 = Multi_key
in my ./Xmodmap file, which defines both Windooze keys as Compose.
