Finder is how you open all files, and it is always the first thing in the dock.. I played around a little with my BigSir system, and I think the process might be fairly similar. If you are sending via airdrop, find the share in the toolbar or menus and then there should be a sub-menu item

Before your mac will show up on the phone, you need to select airdrop from the finder sidebar. It has been a while since I have done this, but if you are still having issues, I can try it again. What exactly are you wanting the outcome to be? Are you trying to transfer a PDF to your Macintosh?

Hello Daniela and Paul, @Paul: You need to activate a specific Finder setting. I'm not sure about the title on an english Mac but it should be in settings / General. There you activate something lik Open all new Finder windows in a new window. Then you can open several folder windows at once.
