AutoJoke.

Sure, grey market cars need to be federalized and speedo is one of
many items that get changed. There are exemptions for age and such, I

in my toolbox is the Petzl Zipka Plus LED headlamp. It has a retractable
microcord headband so it can be put on or taken off the head instantly while
working and used either as headlamp or hand light. No clumsy floppy

On the topic of reman. starters: I know that getting one from a McParts is
frowned upon, but I must admit I got one from AutoJoke with a lifetime
warranty. The thing that I noticed tonight is that the solenoid has the name

Yup. Mat Cama has a European-delivery '77 (?) 300D in his possession. All
records since new, including transport documents. Lots of neat stuff about that
car that you don't see on
Update on my tumbler saga: After having the dealership try to ship the
correct tumbler replacement to a wrong address, I re-gave them the correct
address, and I finally saw it tonight. It looked right this time, I popped
it in in 10 seconds, and it is a fit!

Very pleasant news this evening! The signals started working great! It
didn't take many flicks of the hazard switch to affect a change. What a
great feeling to have them working again for no money and no work! (my kind
of repair). Thanks for the reminder that operating the hazard switch can

The bent wrenches are totally unnecessary. Valve adjustments are easy to do
with standard open end wrenches, just use a good light so you can see exactly
where to place them. The only thing you might consider is file or grind one
down to make it a tad thinner to grab the lower nut.

AAAaackk! That's a fear of mine. My late Dobie was reliable (could leave a

a maniac of a 1 year old now. Whole new ball game. Sorry to hear about your

Don't know about that. According to Mercedes Classic Magazine (? issue 2 yrs
ago), the /8 is achieving collector status, at least in Germany. The car was a

stock Bosch pumps can't deliver more than, say, 20-25% power gain over
stock, without modifying the pump via larger elements. So on an OM603,

I just sent him a message letting him know that his car is not grey
market and that the 300SD was a US only model.
