The best Synthetic oil I've found is the Mobil 1 Delvac - now labeled Truck
Diesel Oil in 5W40 and widely available at many auto chain stores and

yearly. Once in 20 years is a little long. That's an understatement for
those who don;t know - it's wy too long. ;-)

As Tom says, Oil Analysis tells much more than what's happening with the
oil. Since the oil in one way or another comes in contact with virtually
all the stuff in the engine compartment.
The Oil Analysis Report is basically grouped in 3 sections. 1st, the

IIRC, the Allante was built in an odd way - chassis were built by GM in US
then they were shipped to Italy to have the body fitted by one of the body
guys there - Giguario perhaps? maybe Bertone? really can't recall. Talk
about a quality control nightmare. Ha! What a way to build a car -

Tires on stunt vehicles (and race cars) have metal fasteners to keep the
tire bead on the rim during hard cornering. Otherwise, they roll off the

My W123 240D had a probem with drivers door - had to slam it several times.
Later found some debris in the hole in the bracket on the door post - it has
a hole that receives the pin mounted on the door.Didn;t take much junk
to prevent the pin going all the way in - due to the wedge design.

Don't just *check* the fuses - they are 18 years old and *need* to be
replaced (*Please*) - that 10cent part has given its service - and then
some. Most likely there is a hairline crack in one of them - turning the
fuse may not make the fault evident -- BTDT - only found it when spuse

Make sure the belt rollers, guides , tensioners are working properly. Make
sure the roller is perpendicular to the engine and not canted - if it's

I guess Va is one of the few states that allow homeschooling and
accomodates those wishing to do so to make things as easy as possible. My
daughter decided to homeschool our g-son when he was to enter the 1st
grade - luckily the state doesn't get in the way of those wishing to home
IIRC, our g-son must be tested every 3-5 years to insure he is receiving an
appropriate education.I believe he's already had one series of tests and
scored very high. I mentioned mid 90% in my previous email - I believe
that's the tests where he scored so highly. My wife keeps track of
Here (VA), the homeschooling orgaization provides many outside opportunities
for choldren to interact with others. ALso, my Daughter keeps our g-son
involved with numerous activties at the local YMCA. He probably has more
friends whole homeschooling that he would during public school. Between
