Hi,
I'm trying to set up a header: if a page contains only one marking, it
should display this, if it has more than one, display the first and
last. Here's what I tried, unsuccessfully:
\definemarking
(from \setuppapersize), TrimBox is the same as
CropBox.
If there’s a second paper size (like from \setuppapersize[A4][B4]), TrimBox is
the first.
At least if there’s marking=on|color|... in \setuplayout, please also set
BleedBox, even if we can’t influence the bleed value.
Would be nice

Would be nice if there would be an option to let CropBox be the same
the syntax could be:
\externalfigure [cow] [width=10cm,marking={This image shows a beautiful
cow}]
(conforming to ConTeXt style)

Hi,
how can I set the /TrimBox values in PDF ?
right now I use
\setuppapersize[A4][B4]
with
\setuplayout[marking=color,...]
and the print shop asks to set the /TrimBox to A4 (which right now is set to B4
paper format).
obviously I can change that with pdftk/qpdf/sed
a working minimal example.

I'd say this approach is too complicated for somebody who just wants

but the title is left-aligned...
Could anybody tell me, how to make properly the chapter setup according to
above described rules?
You can use the “list” and “marking” keys to set separate entries for the
header and TOC.
\setuphead
[chapter]
[after={\blank[fixed,2*line]},
header
[][\headerframed{\getmarking[section]}]
[][]
A better solution is to provide a shorter text with the “marking” key from
\startsection.

There is a macro to make a shortert title, but
a shorter text with the “marking” key from \startsection
is better, of course

No need for a macro, it’s available

Thanks Wolfgang and Luigi, I did not know that, that is of course the
easiest and best solution
[title=alpha] \stopchapter
\startchapter [title=beta] \page\input knuth \stopchapter
\startchapter [title=gamma] \stopchapter
\stoptext
You can use the marking mechanism to get the title of the current chapter.
The problem for the solution below
, is there anything that lists the keys for
\startchapter somewhere?
Keys that I know about:
\startchapter[
label=...,
title=...,
marking=...,
list=...,
bookmark=...,
reference=... ]
\stopchapter
You can also add an additional pair of brackets with custom
t2.pdf pages are inserted.
Any command option changed? Fix needed?

and if I comment \setcounter[userpage][1]

So I tried:

So I ended by:
