Hello,
is there a file which defines translation of some words?
E.g. when I use \mainlanguage[cz], ConTeXts gets to know to write "Kapitola" instead of

It would be nice if ctx knew also:

You can add for instance, at the top of your setups:
\mainlanguage[it]
\setuplabeltext[it][figure=Foto ]
Or whatever other words than « Foto » you may wish (beware: there should be a
space after « Foto »).
The command \setuplabeltext can be used also when translating other words like
sh is "Figure".
If I switch to
\mainlanguage[it]
the word becomes "Fig."
How can I arbitrarily decide what to show there?
thanks for the attention,

\mainlang
Hallo,
if I write $0,8$ the distance between the ',' and the '8' is too big.
I can write $0,\!8$ or an other kern, but I don't see how I can write
a macro to avoid the extra effort.
Shouldn't be this gap in german (\mainlanguage[deo]) as big as $0.8$
in US? Is
example of this in an image on the contextgarden wiki,

In this case you don't need \usetypescript.

For me, "\setcharacterspacing[frenchpunctuation]" is the border case.
the problem is that there's always a dominant language in a document and

Ok, then I just don't know how to use them...

Should not these rules automatically come into play through
\mainlanguage[fr]
rather than as a module?
Also (for Hans
are then driven by mainlanguage)
1. the 1. paragraph of each section is indented (LATEX only);
2. the default items in itemize environment
3. vertical spacing in general LATEX lists is shortened;
to me these sounds like a design issue, not related to french
4. footnotes are displayed "

Yes, this would be a good solution.
_
ngs is but
in MkII you could have done this with:
\startlanguagespecifics[\s!lt]
\setuphads[\c!sectionstopper=.]
\stoplanguagespecifics
You get now a dot at the end of the section number when write
\mainlanguage[lithuanian] in the preamble of your document.
