Is it any wonder when Panadol is so colourfully advertised and welcomed as a sponsor
for things related to children.
My kids hate the stuff, they refuse to take it.

Dear Kirsten and Tanya, I was part of the team who developed BMid from its inception
in Victoria, when Tasmania wanted to be part of it. In the very beginning I was in
Tasmania and at that time University of Tas looked like it would continue as part of
the consortium of universities in Victoria
Yeah well it was in fact a cunning marketing plan

I have changed computors and updated my address

Maybe this could deter illegal drug use in pregnancy though...
I agree that this is what they are trying to do, but it still seems ironic,
that a woman can choose to have her baby killed but a woman can't
accidentally kill her baby by drug use.
I know we all have differing views on abortion,
Honey,
I'm a 3rd BMid (yes, direct entry) student at UniSA. On the whole, our
placements at various venues have been positive and encouraging, with the
odd ear bashing about 'why don't you do your RN, then do your mid'. My
feeling is that the negativity aimed at students is mainly due to change. I
Hi all, I have just come across the book Spiritual Midwifery at the op shop.
What do others think of it, if you know the book by Ina May Gaskin? Thanks

I think the point here is viability of the baby - note I'm not
agreeing/disagreeing with any of this.

Hi all, I have just come across the book Spiritual
Spiritual Midwifery was considered THE book in alternate midwifery

I haven't looked at it in the last 10 years or so but it would be depend

I think all women experiencing the loss of a baby, whether intentional
(Abby, please don't talk of women killing their babies in violent
ways, the potential for distress is so great for what is an agonising choice)
or accidental, require our compassion and respect. Women's circumstances

Women who choose to have their babies killed do so at a time when the
fetus is not yet viable. If this woman had had an abortion at 32 weeks she
would equally have been charged...
While I do not like the idea of abortion, and I abhor the casual way some
women seem to use it as an alternative
I loved the book, some of the language is funny...but i loved the way they

That is the point of the charge! The state of Oklahoma is actually setting

Dear All,
I have been with many women who have had abortions for many reasons and in
my expereince they do not enter in to it as coldly and wilfully!
Even if they did I find it hard to believe that any just get over it, most

But I did/do wonder if the system was not fragmented and such women got

My view is, whilst I don't condone illicit drug use, or in fact ANY

these women succumb in the first place. Many women have been taking drugs

There are ample opportunities in NZ, more in rural areas where midwives are a bit scarce - both in indpendent practice, birth centres or tertiary hospitals. When you say grad mid program, are you meaning
