airplane mode turns on and off the WI-FI capability of the Victor Stream.
When WI-FI is on, the Stream will transmit radio signals, which is not
desirable while on an airplane; this is the same idea as Airplane Mode on a
smartphone.

books. i went through the process to activate the audible folder, and
was told that the activate was successful. but, when i tried to play
a book, i was told that it wasn't activated. anybody had this
particular trouble. brian.
Hi, as someone wrote, using the short lead, one can play files on a
memory stick, or if you prefer the term on a flash drive. there is
only one drawback. victor will use more battery than if the files are
on a card. how much more power is used, depends on the sort of memory
stick concerned.
Latest version was 3.54.

It might. What format does the Victor Stream record in? I assume you're
asking how to use Switch. It's a very straight forward interface that
works well out of the box with JFW. I assume it would work with any
screen reader. You just hit alt-f to go into the File pulldown and press
enter

Does anyone know how the new Plextalk PTP1 stacks up against the Victor
Stream when playing music?

Sorry to jump in on this thread, but I'm interested in the
same comparison from a different angle.
As well as Music, how do the two machines compare when
playing daisy books or MP3 audio files?

I believe that the stream is just a little more responsive than the PTT-1
when moving back and forth through music folders. I haven't found a way to
random play files either.

The internal mike on the stream is a really great one.
However sometimes you may whish to record with an external microphone.
For example if you want to record an interview or a soundeffect (even if its
not the best quelity on the sound format).
I do want a small microphone.
