I am not in front of my laptop but turning on the effects in the speaker
settings and adjusting the eq for the built in speakers actually improves
the laptop sound. Now I turn those effects off when I am using a set of
pluggin speakers. OR get one of those new sound blaster roar speakers with

I guess you have never heard good tape. good high bios or chrome tapes
sound
equal
with it. For example
you could record your tapes over to digital as well.
