Question about bass and treble adjustments on high definition audio device
Hy. I'm running windows 7 64 bit on the hp probook 4535s with high definition audio device instaled as the primary sound card. With the sound card there came beats audio, a piece of software that controls the sound card. However, the software it self is amost not accessible at all, and when the sound is being produced thru it, it sounds to bassy, and almost like joint stereo. I was looking for a solution on the net, and i saw that the other users reported the same issues with the beats audio, and the suggestions were to use native microsoft high definition audio device driver instead. When i installed it, now everything sounds much better, but right now i can only control the amount of boost bass, i can no longer adjust treble settings to sound more present on my liking. Any possible solutions? Thanks. -- Mario Percinic Accessibility consultant mario.perci...@gmail.com skype: acousticman gsm: +385922630259

Best and affordable recorder for mono voices
Hi listers, I'am Mario from Italy, a broadcaster that needs to record dry and mono voices while outside of the studio. I've listened to the neil podcasts on Blind Cool Tech, but In these podcast he often records fx and stereo sources, and I notice that the voice is a little bit noisy. Can you suggest me a good portable recorder to record only my voice in mono? Im thinking to buy an h2n, but is the mono mix feature useful for what I want to do? and if one exists, can you suggest a microphone that is valid for that use? Reaper and volumes with Rea Access
Hi, I'am a blind user, and I'am learninng how to use reaper. I produce radio and video spots, and in these 5 years of work I've ever used Sound forge, that isn't a multitrack editor, so has some limitations for my work. On this list I've discovered that Reaper can become very accessible by using Rea Access, a tird parti plug-in that talks to my screen reader and allows movements between tracks, faders, triggers ecc. I've learned how to select, cut, paste, but I can't understand volumes. Often, for my work I have 2 or 3 tracks, one for the background music and the others for voices or effects. So I need to put down the volume of the background music and re incrementing the same volume when the voice track is finished. How I can do this with Reaper via keyboard commands? I've assigned a shortcut for inserting envelope points, but then I can't understand what I have to do. I don't want to use automation if possible because I don't have a midi controller, and automating volumes via keyboard can't be easy, especially if I want to create a gradual shape. Anyone can suggest a solution? Thanks! To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: pc-audio-unsubscr...@pc-audio.org

Yes it does, but i see that still you didn't get it what i want. I would like to be able to read the status of the volume, not hear it, but read it with the screen reader. So for example, when i play the file or select part of the file, i'd like to see on what volume is it set, like it play on the 20 db, or 40 db. Audio question

This problem was present also when I used a sound blaster sound card without the processor and with a different microphone. Someone can help me to solve this issue? Re: Another type of unequal sound
Hello. From the things you explained, it sounds to me that the cd isn't properly mixed, and there for, that is the reason why you can't hear all parts of the song how it is suppose to sound. To clarify that, try listening the same cd on differend sound systems and see if you get the same results. If the end results are the same than you can do a few of the things. First, if this is part of the songs which is just vocal parts singing, than you can make part of that song louder than the rest of it. But, if the vocal part is mixed in the same time with some other instruments, than probably you cant do much about it, since you will mess up all the song and you could end up having very distorted parts which you really don't want. - Original Message - From: Victoria Vaughan vrvaug...@mailzone.com To: PC audio discussion list. pc-audio@pc-audio.org Sent: Saturday, November 07, 2009 5:10 AM Subject: Another type of unequal sound On my CD of Pied Piper, by Chrispian St. Peters, the verses are much quieter than the chorus, which booms out. If you want an .flv file leave the checkbox unchecked and tab to the OK button and hit enter. Tab once to the customize button. Enter to set up the first time if you want all downloads converted to the same thing evry time. There will be a list view for whatever format you want. mp3 is at the bottom of the list. Tab and it asks to change the size of the video. Since we are doing mp3 it doesn't matter where this is set. Tab and select the quality. Tab and there wil be a checkbox to check if what you have done is to be the default. Tab to OK and hit enter You will then be back to the original dialog Tab to OK and hit enter. The download will then start. A window will pop up showing the info about the download. I don't know if this link actually lets you download. Some videos may not be downloaded. They each have their strong points but essentially do the same things, plus or minus a feature here and there between them. The biggest thing that MP3TAG does that Studio does not is that you can use it to look up all the information about an album via amazon.com and have that information automatically added/imported to the tags in your files. MP3 Tag Studio's strongest features lie in its list processing capabilities--it can make lists, make Excel CSV files, process lists to tag selected files, etc. Both absolutely required tools in any serious MP3 collector's arsenal.
