I'd suggest, for manual focus lenses, perhaps the A 70-210/4, if that's long enough I've used the FA 80-320 F4.5/5.6 results were very good easily comparable with my 70-20 f4, however a little slower aperture wise. Makes a nice conbination with the FA 28-105 for a two lens kit. John

Great subject. Nice range of grayscale. I would crop a little tighter, but that's highly subjective. I might also have lowered the camera about a couple of feet when shooting if it could have been done without destroying the mood or drawing too much attention. But it's a very nice shot as is.

Sort of rare, but definitely unloved. I've got a mint-in-box example sitting on the shelf that probably isn't worth putting on eBay. I guess it is just too big compared to most of the more modern 35-135 zooms. In fact it is bigger than just about any modern zoom except a fast (2.8) or long (300mm)
