A 16 x 20 at 240dpi would have to be 3840x 4800. That's increasing the dimensions by almost 3x - don't know how well PhotoShop would do that. FotoFusion does a great job up-rezzing. Depending on which version you have there may be size limitations though. The mid-priced ($100) version

You do not have to do any math. Just set the short side and rez to what you want. Use Bicubic Smoother in Photoshop. Better would be to upsize the image from the RAW file, of course if you upsize from RAW you get to reedit the image. You can probably get away with a 19x15 or 19.5x15.5 inch

Native resolution would have it print at about 80 ppi, which is a bit too low. I'd uprez it to about 2.7x that resolution, making a 4160x5200 pixel file, and then do some careful resharpening for the 16x20 inch print @ 260 ppi. It will not be great for ultimate resolution, but if the

I've seen Fred's plug-in plug. I think he's one of only a few who still consider stepping to be a good method. For normal upsizing a straight Bicubic Smoother interpolation compares very favorably to a fractals job as well. Fractals is at its best when you have to go extremely large. The art
