possible image, and then zoom back to the desired focal length. This ensures
maximum focusing accuracy. Lenses such as SMC P 45-125mm f/4 and 85-210mm

Let me make sure the index tab left on allows the camera to shoot at ASA

one stop. Not undesirable in some cases:)?

Hi folks,
I am a newcomer to the list...
I own a Pentax Auto 110. Does the ASA adjust to 200 when 200 speed film
is load or does it default
on
the right side of the cartridge as you load the camera.
Stephen Gandy has a nice write up at:

combination is unfortunately .55x magnification.

Just tried this on two LX's with old style shutter curtain. Same problem at 3200
ISO as your camera. Erratic timing once every four to ten shutter releases.
Absolutely no erratic behavior at 800 ISO.

Only 2 or 3 cartridges a year make it through my Auto 110.

Perhaps another reason to desire medium format. Pentax 67 lenses cover

I always use mirror up on my Spotmatics when I can. Just tap the
shutter to lock up the mirror and screw in the cable release to
fire it. I'd have thought you could use a cable release with the
MX mirror up too.

overall. Perhaps Pentax specs their wide angles at minimum focus

Even that would account for little; maybe a couple of degrees

That got me to wondering what the oldest cameras,

Daily shooter Spotmatic SP. The Takumar 1:4/300 gets used every
month or two. Kodachrome has changed emulsions, but the name is
old (1936?).

one comment that the 55mm is soft through f5.6 and then
becomes sharp at f8. I like shots at f8 on this lens better than
shots at f8 on any of my other lenses; but it's not just the
sharpness. All lenses are compromises and the 55mm is a pleasing
compromise.

They are different. The Super-Takumar and SMC Takumar have 5
elements in 5 groups. The older Takumar f:4/300 has 4 in 4, is
larger, and weighs more than the SuperTak/SMCTak.
