This weekend the Orionid meteor shower will be going on. Sunday is also my
birthday, so since I'm going to be staying up late anyway, I figure I might as
well go out and shoot some shooting stars.
What are good settings for shooting such things? Shutter speed, aperture, ISO,
noise reduction
Didn't you read the Pentax thread? In January all will be
revealed. (The
specifications on the E-3 don't look a lot higher than the
specifications on the K10D, except for the frame rate anyway).
About the frame rate, from DP Review's spec sheet:
Continuous
5.0 fps
RAW: 1
It's quite creepy. Looks like something out of a horror film. Quite
appropriate for October. :)

This is only the second Limited lens I've experienced (the first being

77mm that Shel let me use for a few minutes a couple years ago),

I've tried both versions, as well as a Promaster-branded version, and found the
Pentax to be sharper as well. I'm fairly certain the primary difference is the
coatings, since the Tamron rep hinted at that when I asked him about this very
lens a few years ago.

Well, I don't know anthing about it, I haven't read any of
the reviews on it, and I don't make those decisions anyway

If I were to remove a JMDC inspection sticker from an older camera
body (late 70s or early 80s vintage), would an oval spot show up in

When the wireless wouldn't work, I went to a
remote hot shoe connector. It's a cheapo Promoster model, and it stopped
functioning after 50 shots or so. Couldn't determine why, so I abandoned it
and used the flash on camera.
You have to be a little careful with the Promaster hot shoe cable,
