ake manual focus lenses AF :-)
The only problem that I've found with the AF1.7 TC on a manual body is that the
moving elements can end up being in a close focus position so that you can't
focus to infinity, the fix is simply to wind the AF screw fully clockwise.

Ouch, apart from being able to get around to actually listen to 10k albums it
would cost me about 1TB the way I code my music, my mp3 music library is
currently only 103GB for 12000 tracks. My music cart however is only 20GB but

The A28/2.8 was never a stellar performer, did you get a chance to compare the
Canon 28/1.8 with the 31LTD wide open when you had it? I'd guess that would be
more of an even match?

ter that adheres to RIAA

Congrats Christian, it sounds like you are now much more content with your kit,
now you can just go out and enjoy shooting with a future :-)

t I wouldn't call them
extraordinarily innovative these days, glass wise they have some nice pieces
but don't all the major manufacturers. So I'm not really convinced that Pentax
has anything extraordinary to offer these days and my crystal ball looks
cloudy.

Maybe it's just a generational gap but I really can't see what all the fuss is
about, the pro-sumer digital capture to print process even at this stage is
equal to any average analogue process and IMHO will exceed the best analogue

This is what is appealing to me about the RD-1, it's just a pity that it's
somewhat over-priced for it's spec.
