"install" on the Squeezebox Server tab of the Max2Play web interface (no

the Audioplayer tab is not running (deactivate autostart)

what model do you have? Do you have other network devices that can be
reached with network names? You may try to set "keep sound device alive"

you can easily go with a Raspberry Pi 2. This is powerful enough for
hosting a Squeezebox Server and a player on the same device and runs
very smooth. We have some prebuild images for the Raspberry that are
tested and you find good DACs like HiFiBerry that offer good sound
quality.

If you are just looking for a Squeezebox Server, the ODROID XU4 might be
worth looking at. But as I mentioned this has a fan, that makes some

just for information: I am currently testing different displays to get a
squeezebox touch functionality working with Max2Play. The goal is to
have the touch functionality with the display and all the Max2Play
addons together with the easiest installation and configuration (just 2
clicks in

related to the equalizer configuration that gets activated when you
check the use USB-Soundcard option. All you have to do is: update to

when you first set up your Network attached drive you usually define a
share with a name. You also set up username and password to access that
shared folders. You have to use exactly the name of the share you choose
when creating it. When you access the shared folders from any
OK, cracked it. You set up a share but what I had done was leave the
password blank. I assumed it didn't need it because I could see the file
data before I loaded up LMS. I entered root and the max2play password in
the boxes hit save and the share worked.

(without software conversions)? All output settings can be changed on
the Audioplayer-Page in advanced settings (Squeezelite). Can you post a

please always use the LMS version 7.9 nightly as this is the one that I
always test with new images and this one works. The C1 version for
Max2Play is more an alpha version compared to the U3. The U3 Max2Play
should work without problems and detect most USB-drives. HD-idle is used
@gv200: you should try to make a copy of the existing
/etc/init.d/squeezelite file and just change the audio-output for
squeezelite. In your init-script there might be some parameters set,
that are not correct (audio-output / LMS-IP). If you want to test the
init-script and see the output (if

dist-upgrade? I would not recommend upgrading to the next Ubuntu
version. Just a guess: it seems to have a different perl version (5.20).

Hardkernel and the Raspberry PI as a lot people are interested in this
versions. There is of course the possibility to get Max2Play running on
the XU3, but you won't have XBMC with full hardware support (still a
problem, it think)
@maynard999: I played around with my DAC to get the crossfeed and
lowpassfilter working. But I rather can hear a big difference when
adjusting its values. What you can actually do to test the crossfeed
setting with your DAC:
adjust the part of the /etc/asound.conf file where the headphonesplug

the first mountpoint of the usb device is /media/usb0 that is symlinked
from /media/usb. If you did not connect an other usb-device and did not
reboot the device this should not happen. I can think of something like:
the usb-device gets unpowered by the external powersupply or shuts

files and see if the same strange issue appears again. Althrough I don't
think your ODROID is broken, you will find out if the problem is caused
by your USB-Drives or by the ODROID itsself.

warning because it's difficult for me to make sure that everything works
as expected on all versions of Max2Play. If you have the Ubuntu 13.10
Version (changed to Ubuntu 14 three months ago), than you should not

presses: use prebuilt functions for poweroff / switch between XBMC and

@skare: sounds like a good idea - I will add this switch in the next
version as a custom usage for the powerbutton.

and use XBMC to play video or show pictures that are available on the
