g connection so there is that delay and also a delay engaging the
squeezebox same library as the Touch skin but different response
times. if the home phone rings and i want to pause the music i might
miss the call.

Maybe the file size of the icons is slowing things down? For example,
radio.png is 43kb and radioDark.png is 30kb. It seems that this could
be compressed or tweaked to lower the file size significantly.

Those are not being loaded at startup. Actually there's one artwork
Player navigation is slow - fast fwd, rwd and play take 3-4 sec. to
engage the squeezebox - i would have attributed this to the web
interface until i tried the Touch skin included with SC - it's way
faster and volume adjustments can be made that are incremental instead
of 3-4 at a time.

what do you mean by 'loads the page'? The artwork? I mean: iPeng
doesn't load a page on skipping

i can't understand why iPeng's response is s slow. the Touch skin
included with SC is much faster. it's impossible to accurately set
volume - pressing skip or next takes 4-5 seconds to load and another
second or two to make the squeezebox respond.

different releases (all pretty new) and I played tracks with or without
random setting, I played LastFM and random mixes

and running for me. The new version certainly seems to be a major

for awhile, this plugin pushed me off. After the mostly painless
upgrade to squeezecenter, I got this working fairly easily. Thanks a

2nd update: I did a fresh install of SC7.1 on my Mac and now this works

I shut down SC, removed anything called SqueezeCenter under
/Library/PreferencePanes, user/Library/Caches,
user/Library/Application Support and then reinstalled SC.
May be worth a try.

I upgraded to 5.1 last week but found that I can no longer control the
volume of my SB3 with the iTouch. The volume bar did display but it is
white in colour and not movable. Is this a known issue or something I
did wrong? Reverting to 4.5 and the volume bar works again.

You did not set the output value to fixed, I've seen there was am SC
issue of analog output being fixed, too, when digital output is
