I think that you may have gone about it slightly back to front. If
memory serves (and it's been a while since I registered a copy of PM so
I might be wrong) you should *drop the application onto the key*, not
the other way around.

I seem to recall this situation being discussed but have no recollection
of the outcome and remedy.
In my user/Library/Preferences folder I noticed about 40 copies of my PM
registration key. It appears that each time I launch PM another copy
appears. This is with OS 10.3 and PM 5.2.1 build

In all my years of using PowerMail (going back to version 3) I always
kept the folder PowerMail Files in the same folder with the PM
application. All of a sudden PM will not recognize this location and
insists on it being in the user's Mail file. A Switch User

With these messages the orange Pm icon in the browser pane stays 'half'
as if the message is partially downloaded, but there is nothing more to see.
AFAIK it is spam, deleteting the thing is the only option.

to File in: with a list of all folders.
This is not in 2-pane view, but in the open incoming mail window. It's
typical to be looking at several messages in the inbox and wanting to
move them without the help of a mail

Received messages have started opening in a small window at the bottom of
my screen (I use the 2 pane view). I have to drag each message higher up
the screen then enlarge the window to read it conveniently.

It could be in (poorly coded) HTML and you have your PM preferences set
to read HTML automatically. Turn this preference off in

I have no problem with enthusiastic discussions. It just strikes me that

was Claris E-mailer. There are a lot of interface similarities and it
was an easy transition. It also means there is fierce product
Signatures in PowerMail are text only. See the menu item SetupText
Signatures... .
There may be a work-around that uses a script or automated action to add a
photo, but within PowerMail, I am not aware of any way to do what you want.

More specifically, use Apple's Keychain Access utility (in your Utilities
folder) to locate all password associated with PowerMail.
In addition, in PowerMail check SetupMail Accounts… and enter a new password
for the required accounts that show in the sidebar on the left.
