Hello,
Thanks for your answer.
But I did not succeed yet in making a hole master
drawing into your fabrication drawing. To
do this, simply draw and dimension your panel with instructions for your
fab house to step and repeat your CAM data.

Sounds like a reasonable request. In the meantime you might want to try
enabling the 'read only' file attribute for your archived DDB files. This
has the added benefit of faster shut down since read only DDBs are not
compacted.

That's an OS setting. Using Windows Explorer or equivalent, right click the
DDB file and enable the Read-only check box.

Brian, The capability has always been there but Protel forgot to include it
in the menus. You can add it yourself by assigning the
PCB:MeasureSelectedObjects process to a new menu item or button. BTW, the
function works better now since it now accurately calculates lengths of
curved tracks.
Does anybody have experience or opinions about designing masks for LCD
displays using Protel? Is this feasible? I'd appreciate any input.
Thanks in advance.

Yes, exactly. I have a general idea of the requirements but don't know the
details, such as type and format of CAM data required to manufacture the
masks (these will be for 4 wafers). We may have a contract job for someone
with this kind of experience.

This can slow down your system tremendously. If so, un-check the boxes for
these rules, then manually create the rules you need after the wizard is
complete.
Hope this helps.

Gary- Protel does not provide that function in their EDA software but you
can do it at the Gerber level using their CAM software. Just load your
Gerber files into Camtastic and go to the 'Tools/Trim Silkscreen...' command.
IMO though, its a waste of your time because most fabricators do this as
