upgrading to catalina over christmas while the studio is on a break. What is

Hi guys. well strange things happening with protools today. Basically there
strange things happening with a lot of PT commands. for example I can’t go into
record mode with num pad three. I can’t add a new memory location with mum bad
enter. I also can’t go to any of my locations with period

case the encode files option comes up. but the destination box is greyed out.

catalina. should I upgrade protools to the latest version before installing
catalina. that worked for me last time with mojave. Just making sure this is

Hey guys I know this is a strange one. But out of interest lately i’ve been
playing around with garage band with a view to maybe purchasing logic, as i
wanted to play around with some looping stuff. how ever my studio machine gives

Is it possible to go back to protools 11 after running protools 12. Does the
current licence on my I lock support 11. .
The reason I ask is I have an old mac book pro here that only has 4 gig of ram.
I used to run 11 on it and it did ok. i did install protools 12.7 on it a
couple of years ago,

it is very important to make sure the version is compatible with your mac OS.
for example, it is not recommended to run mojave as it is not compatible with
protools 2018.12 witch I believe is the latest update from
