If your going to do the protein thing, I suggest buying a hand-held stick
blender and buying whey protein in bulk. You can get it in 2-5 pound
containers. My problem is to much of an appetite.
I always advise anyone with a sore to first and foremost, stay off of it.
I know staying in bed sucks but you have to for the area to heal. Where
are the sores on your hips? If there not from sitting, maybe the pressure

Also drink lots of water.
And see a Wound Doctor if you are not. It must be cleaned and debrided

Hiya Rose. Much depends on the type of wound and stage of wound. We were
fortunate to have a few RN with certification in wound therapy. They
would change to wound wrap, twice a day and pack the wound. Sometimes, they

the wounds but the irritation on the surrounding skin from the 3M Micropore

I have used paper tape but that, too, caused irritation to the skin.
Any ideas?
Thanks,

Hi Dan,
I use it on a adjustable bed. Because of the way it is designedit holds up without bunching or rolling on the mattress. I do use a firm inner-springmattress under it, and I turn and rotate the mattress about once every two months.

The wound vac works pretty well. I still ended up needing a flap tho. It keeps the drainage off the wound 2 stimulate healing.
