We had some discussion on another list regarding the legality of 'automatically' rebroadcasting NWS data on an amateur repeater. The rules clearly allow for rebroadcasting the weather information, but are not clear on how that can be done. One repeater owner on the list send an email to Riley

Just pick up a Micor or MASTR II. With the front end of those tuned to 162 MHz (or even 152 MHz) it will never see your 2M repeater. Or, use a set a front end out of one. For a real sweet WX radio, just interface a standard alert RX SAME decoder to the MASTR II or Micor and crystal it up for your
