Regardless what controller you use with it. Not
sure if the TS-2000 would allow the same types of changes the other
Kenwood mobiles do.
The TS-2000 serial commands are similar to most other recent Kenwood
radios. If the controller supports other Kenwood HF radios, it will
probably support

I should have said;
The RC210 has 10 internal memories (which I use) and then 180 memories
(think that is what the TM-G707 has) for the Kenwood.

My remote has NO memories in it. It is a Kenwood TM-G707. All the

Hey
Ok, let me add another one to the list;
ICS Basic repeater controller, single port with lots of features - $83.95
ICS Linker IIa repeater controller, Dual port with over 130 functions -
$139.95
Each has a separate control receiver input and they are both well under
the 200 dollar mark.

I have the yaesu 857d. You use memories in the controller not the
radio. I
admit that is a limitation
Bob,
Are you talking Tone Squelch (tx / rx) or just txing the pl tone. I
change the tx pl tone with my macros and the internal memories all the
time. Now if all the repeaters you are txing the tone so you can run
tone squelch...there is a mod you can do on the TM-G707 so that the

Yes you can effectively change tone if you pre-load the radio's memories
with the channel/CTCSS combos. CTCSS tone

Hi Bob,
My recommendation for a 3-port controller is the SCom 7330. It's a bit
more expensive that the RC-210 but IMO is of higher quality. All ports
have dedicated hardware (tone CTCSS generators, voice, etc.).

Mike,
NEITHER the ARCCOM or the SCOM 7330 will work if you intend to do anything
more than fairly basic things.. a repeater, a remote base on a fixed freq,
etc, etc.
Fairly basic things?
If you think this stuff is easy, you haven't investigated what it takes to
make one controller
