I always thought it was a pinched nerve as I've never heard of this
except with ticks in ears.
More to it:

Apparently a neuro-toxin and there are many many many blood vessels very
close to the surface in ears.

Hi Malcolm:
Thank you for your reply. You must be thinking of botulism which the
vet ruled out. If it was Salmonella, the CS would have taken care of
it. There is no vomiting or diarrhea.
Thanks again,

Well, we cannot find a tick, but kids keep looking. She's a little

every square mm of her body. Her skin is clear. Also, there is no
salivation, no vomiting,

Hi Heidi,
No, though actually there are similarities between botulism and
salmonella in that they both produce their disastrous effects due to the
[differing] toxins the bugs make rather than the infections themselves.
This is why antibacterials are of minimal effect, the toxin is a poison

Look very carefully in the dogs earr for a tick.
They sometimes look exactly like a piece of ear.
If you find one, pull it off and the dog will be OK in a few hours.

The tick will not fall of when it gets full.
Try putting dish soap on it. It can't breathe and it really will release.

I heard from a cattle rancher they use pine oil to make the tick let
go. They hate the oil and release. The oil also kills any germs that may be

Hi Heidi,
Have you tried adding about 10 drops of H2O2 Food grade) into her drinking
water?
If she can't drinkyou may put it in a eye dropper or a small syringe
and put it in her mouth,
this has worked wonders for pet infections when CS did not seem to work.

Does anyone have experience with coonhound paralysis? Our
little 2-year-old dog came down with it last Friday, and today cannot move at
all. We're giving her CS every hour or so, and 1 drop of MMS twice
a day, but the disease has not even stabilized, yet...
Any ideas or suggestions?
