Hi all
I would like to put on the table something that needs to be tackled at some

Anyone out here with a story to share on Spyder use?
Maybe you already wrote about it on your personal blog, so we can use that

Hi Todd
Thanks for the reply.
I am aware many things are platform dependent, but I work on Windows
and Ubuntu and I get the same results I described.
I already found a solution to make the look consistent and nice (when I
start the PR I will post the link to it)

Thanks for raising this here.

Hi all,
From Carlos Cordoba:
After a lot of patience (and insistence :-) from the development team and
several other interested parties, it's my pleasure to announce that we are

There is no inbuilt support for this (yet) but it seems like a nice project

Hi Gene :)
Thanks for your interest on helping improving the documentation, of course
help is always appreciated :)
Are you familiar with reStructuredText and / or markdown and tools for

Hi, we seem to have completely missed this thread :-s
Only one member of the Core Dev team is located in Europe, so aside from

On the other hand, the rest of the core team can be found on SciPy with

Hi Colin
Thanks for the suggestion, does sphinx come with an extension to parse

Hi Dan thanks for your comments.
It is very encouraging for the developer team to hear about new users

Hi Nicklas
As Carlos pointed out, there is some planned work for git (and maybe hg?)

we are making big improvements to the api, that work is on hold for now,

Hi Андрей
As Carlos said, part of the big spyder refactor currently going on (planned
for Spyder 4.0) will enable handling multiple languages with the ipython
console, plus notebook support.
We will start with Julia and R, and develop them as plugins, but we are in
need of active Julia/R
Hi Pablo this has been requested and is something that we might consider

As part of the refactoring job for 4.0, this is going to be included as a
functionality to be extended in the code editor via plugins.

Hi Felipe
Thanks for using Spyder and your interest in developing this feature. This
work is already implemented in the following PR
https://github.com/spyder-ide/spyder/pull/3512
Where we are decoupling the editor and making it truly language agnostic.
This will be available for Spyder 4.0
in me what would be my line of activity.

Hello Spyder community!
We would like to make an announcement to all users out there. *Anaconda,
