Same thing happened to me about 6 weeks ago. Apparently Dell has been
shipping this type of keyboard for a couple of years; there are complaints
in the Dell community forum about it. For some people the computer was left
in the numlock On state like mine was, and for other customers it was left
demand that dell send you a keyboard that has a num lock
first before you go out and buy another keyboard.
