I have noticed inconsistency in what are known in Australia as Alpine
or High Country or Mountain Cattlemen's huts.
In Victoria they are tagged tourism=alpine_hut (see Bogong High
Plains, Mt Sterling and Lake Mountain)
In the NSW they are tagged as shelter_type=

be tagged in wilderness areas which by definition are largely empty of
man made features

though this was not my understanding of the regulations, my
understanding was that all park users should keep to authorised
trails. The ranger suggested that if it is mapped at all it should be

it will get mapped again, and again and again by editors who think that
the path is merely missing, not consciously
