@gw43 Presumably you know that Logitech has abandoned Squeezebox.
Further as a member of these forums you presumably know that this is a

Sorry your Squeezebox experience was less than what you wanted it to be.
Hopefully Sonos will provide what you want. The desire to appear to be

Well the fact that beats bought MOG to be able to launch a streaming

I don't think Beats will just dump MOG subscribers either -- that would

Yep, tons of reasonable solutions for streaming from services or
internet radio. Fewer *flexible* solutions for our own music
collections that does all that SB does.

Only kidding, but sorry, I bet the number of monthly subscriptions from
SB users (and it can be any SB, no reason it has to be a Touch) is

If you are buying a player just for Spotify (or mainly for) then I would

Spotify constantly crashed my Touch and the user interface is pretty

There's certainly a lot of arguments you can make for Squeezebox vs.
Sonos but Spotify integration really isn't one of them.
Spotify integration in Sonos is pretty much exactly the same as on the
Squeezebox, it even has the same issues (Track not available in your

If I were starting over, I'd be tempted by Sonos:
- very nice hardware
- isolated mesh network
- it's the current it thing.
That said, our obsolete Squeezebox still has a lot going for it:
- free server, player and controller software
- cheap Android/linux hardware players
- hi-res and large
