The quality is impressive. I was using HDMI before which already sounds
great, but with the HiFiBerry there is even more clarityin the music and
more dynamic range. I did not try 192k files yet, but uncompressed Flac
music (Wimp HiFi) sounds really good.

The alsa settings are parameters for Squeezelite. You can set them in
the PiCorePlayer or Squeezelite options. If you habe no clicks and pops
or distorted sound then you probably don't need to set it. I had to use
it on Squeezeplug 6 for HDMI and also on older PiCorePlayer versions.

I've managed to test F20 with the stock Fedora kernel and prerelease

Here are my findings:
Stock Fedora (3.12.6-300).
- UAC2 compatible DAC, everything works OK. Including highres and DSD
DoP output
- Mytek with my Mytek driver

Yes, DSD64 - native PCM @ 352k8. DSD64 - DoP PCM @ 176k4.
Thank you for testing!

Perhaps as a longer term goal, but for now, the DAC chip we're using for
the CS hardware, PCM5142, is PCM only.
