Maybe the PCBs are identical but it is manufactured at a different

I can confirm this mp3 stream works fine on my, RPi Model B Analog out,
RPi Model A+ HDMI and RPi2 Model B i2s generic.
I saved as a favourite so identical URL for all piCorePlayers.
So mp3 is blocked for your piCorePlayer or LMS server somewhere.

For people with settings not being maintained after a reboot can you
check if you have a "newconfig.cfg" on your boot partition. If you do
delete it. Then do your settings again.
