In my Find Replace the Whole Words Only option is grayed out. Match Case
is there. I'm using BrOffice 3.2.0 on Ubuntu Lucid, 10.40
I use the option often and this is the first time I've noticed this issue.

I write and I use only OO on a Linux platform - I save in the odt format
and only convert it to doc if I have to. Which usually I don't, since

I noticed today, when I had to save an .odt document into Word to send
to someone that the original .odt doc was only 29.9 KB and the resultant
Word doc was 163.5 KB. Quite a size difference.

You seem to be right. It's only the use of the apostrophe that triggers the
failure. Whether the apostrophe is before the period or after, the word

I routinely save my odt files as docs. I do this by doing Save As then
entering the name of the file and appending it with .DOC. So far it's never
failed and it never shows up as an .ODT file.

I am using (trying) to print a document and for some reason I cannot get my
printer to accept it and print it. My printer just acts like it is going to
print it and it just makes about 15-20 noises like it wants to print but no
printing appears. I printed a test page and it prints just fine. I
back to word
pad, etc. The downloaded files are on my C drive under programs but I can't
find the .exe file that would kick start the whole process, I'm a user not a
programmer. If I redownloaded the v2.3 would it hurt or help me get

The default target for Open Office is Drive C:\Programs. As I only keep my
OS on Drive C:, I do not allow anyother programs on this drive. I need to know
if I can change the target drive for instalation of Open Office 2.2, to my App.
