who had just shut down their own vSphere clone in favor of a RHV clone a couple
of years ago.
Oracle is even less vocal about their "Oracle Virtualization" strategy, they

Is a change in /etc/pki/vdsm/cert/cacert.pem on the nodes going to
disrupt the communications between nodes and the engine?
The procedure I followed blew away all of /etc/pki/vdsm on each node. I
saved the old one.

SR-IOV would be an entirely different issue if that is actually used and not
just enabled.

This is where a design philosophy chapter in the documentation would really
help, especially since its brilliance would make for a very nice read.
