I am not sure if Quantum supplies a driver for their library.

But we are planning to do LTO4 native encryption with IBM tape drives in an IBM

You might want to look at putting the new logs on it’s own volume (filespace)
so if you fill the space you do not trash other things. You can move it’s
location to netbackup with a command.
The new logs can really grow if you have to debug a ndmp problem.

Check on the netapp side, what does it report. Does it show the tape drive as
in use. Is there an active ndmp job using the tape drive.
Try the storage show tape command
And the sysconfig -t command
