For Google Video you should be able to download alternate video formats, such as .mp4 for the video iPod. That should be easier to convert to a format you can burn to DVD. For the stuff on YouTube, I'm not sure what to tell you. Ask the people who made the video if they have it in another format.

This doesn't sounds like an iTunes problem. Sounds like bad HTML somewhere in one of your blog entries. If you have an img tag, it should end with a slash like this: img src=http://my/image/jpg; / XML is much more strict than HTML, and thus you must make sure that your HTML is well-formed.
