[videoblogging] Re: 23 gig video?

2005-08-03 Thread gerwalker

Yes DVD's have hours on them but that is becuase the footage is
compressed. DV footage, although also compressed, is much larger than a
DVD file.

A 26 minute video at full DV resolution should only be about 5.2 gigs,
so you have some weird stuff going on. I don't use Premiere, so I can;t
help your there. I would suggest finding a premiere forum and posting
your issue there, but you will have to be a lot more detailed on
exactly what your issue is and what type of system you are running. For
instance, the fact that you are exporting at 16 bit mono is really not
very helpful information since that is only the audio.

I check and the file is 23 gigs.

I'm exporting as a qt movie with 16 bit mono. What am I doing wrong?
DVD's have hours on them and their not that big.

I usually render out at full resolution... because I will need both a
DVD TV resolution version, and a web version.

Your complacency seems misplaced to me.

Freeplay site clearly includes the following under uses that must be
paid for:

1. Local, regional, or any non-ASCAP/BMI licensed broadcast television use
2. Local, regional, or any non-licensed cable television use
3. Television use premiering outside the US
4. All Radio Use
5. Direct-to-video, DVD, CD, CDR DVDR or other including replication,
distribution, promotional, or sale.
6. Non-Broadcast Multi Media Use (Live events, Power Point
presentations, trade shows/conventions, etc.)
7. Commercial Web Site Use (to promote a business, product or service)
8. Personal Website Use (Non-Commercial)
9. Books, Magazines, Games, Electronic and Toy Use
10. Shareware / Freeware
11. Greeting Cards / Internet Email
12. Podcasting /Blog Use
13. Ring Tones
14. Religious Use (most)
15. Non-Profit (most)
16. Film Festivals / Competitions

Then Freeplay Music requires a signed license agreement and a license
fee payment as described in the Freeplay Music Rate Card.

Then on the fees page it says:

Podcasting and Blogs
$25.00 per Freeplay Music title for 12 months.

[videoblogging] podcast-a-thon / podcast awards

2005-08-03 Thread Jan

The podcasters are discussing a podcastathon and
podcastawards.com on their yahoo group for those of you who are interested in
such things. Which is not to say I think we should discuss either here but
rather let the podcasters discuss it to death and note their conclusions so we
don't have to.

In fact, discussions about a vlogathon are ongoing (through
the initiatives of mostly Raymond Chuck) over at http://www.screenvlog.com/vlogathon/if
you want to participate and personally, I think you should :)

We shoot for a Thanksgiving 2005 date around which to do this
thing. Based on yesterday's videoconference, looks like we like the idea of
raising money for kids somehow, kids and media.

[videoblogging] Naming The Group

2005-08-03 Thread Jan

Steve,

First: Hahaha. How are your arms?

Second: Group Name.

'Vlogroup' kinda comes off the mouth easily.

'Vlogosphere' is a word I'm fond of using, but is it the name of a group?
Could be.

'Videoblog Group'

Let's all mull it around - I like the idea of naming ourselves with words we
choose rather than what Yahoo has given us.

 We don't have one.

We are all members of the Yahoo! Videoblogging Group, but why should
Yahoo! be part of our group name.

Should we have a group name that we can refer to when talking about
 this amazing collection of people?

Should it be The Videoblogging Group?

 Maybe.

You can ask to be added, but they control it. The podcasters didn't

Log in to Blogger and go to Template section. There you can pick a new
theme or edit the template code yourself. To just edit the style, you
can customize the CSS at the top of the template, and if you need to
adjust layout you can edit other sections of the HTML. Be careful
though because there are a lot of special tags that Blogger uses to
build the dynamic parts of your site -- things like yout Blog entry
posts and post metadata (title, date, etc..), and also links to your
archives. If you understand HTML, you'll pick it up pretty quick.

Re: [videoblogging] FireANT or iTunes

2005-08-03 Thread Stephanie Bryant

Josh, I hope it does full-screen. That's the only thing missing in
FireANT. I know ANT's not TV, but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy
plugging it into the TV and watching all my feeds one after the other.
Without a fullscreen ANT, I'm reduced to opening the files directly in
QuickTime from the ANT download folder, which means I get no further
information, not even the feed title, just whatever is in that video
clip.

To answer the original question: I was using both, because of this
issue. But now all of my iTunes library is on the external hard
drive... which is upstairs and the TV is downstairs in my home. So I
can no longer get the iTunes full-screen option unless I drag the
external drive downstairs.

I still have FireANT set up to download video to the local hard drive.

Re: [videoblogging] Re: Announcing...I/ON: Internet Video Console!

2005-08-03 Thread nathan.freitas

Peter,

Thanks for the question. There are two parts to our home page. One
side is an edited front page, which we want to be able to use to
present and highlight different content as its available. For instance,
if suddenly there were a bunch of clips out on the Space Shuttle
in-space repair effort, we may put together a new channel and feature
that. The other side is the general directory of available
feeds/videoblogs, thats not an area we have much energy to put into.

I would be most interested in being able to utilize an existing known
trusted resource, such as Mefeedia or Vlogdir, so we that we don't just
replicate that information to yet another place. The only need we have
is to possibly change the format to work without our app's integrated
browser.

Currently, from Home screen in the app we have a find more feeds link.
This opens the Mefeedia directory page. From there, all you have to do
is drag and drop RSS links into I/ON to add them.

Regards,
 Nathan

p.s.
As a side note, we're still struggling with our server. Ugh. Please be
patient!

Any reason why this is a pdf?

If you want people to help edit and contribute, it might be better off

Also, If we are planning a vloggercon for 2006, in January, how about
something concurrent/before/after Macworld San Francisco, January 9-13,
2006?

There are a lot of great reasons for this:

1. It's warm
2. No snow
3. There will be a huge audience of mac users who already have many of
the tools to join in and start videoblogging
4. Lots of us might be planning on going to Macworld already. ( anyone

5. We might be able to join in with some Final Cut Pro programs and

So how do people feel about this?

LIVE vlogging (was Re: [videoblogging] Los Angeles VBloggers - We Need To Represent!

2005-08-03 Thread B Yen

Hi:

I'm in Pasadena, just a few blocks from the Apple Store on Colorado Bl.

I'm playing around with:

- camera-cellphones (1.2M pixel cameras, which can do 15sec video clips)
- PDAs (WiFi capable, with built-in 1.2M pixel cameras, which can do video
clips)
- mobile satellite-DSL w/WiFi base-station (I can get Internet access out in
the middle-of-nowhere)

I'm in the niche-market of OffRoad Racing, where there is a NEED for LIVE
coverage (they currently don't have any).

I just did a LIVE videoblog (moblogging, using pics videos), using
camera cellphone (using the 15sec video clip mode):

http://www.jumplive.com/tcup05/index.html
http://terriblescup.textamerica.com

I uploaded pics videos for this inaugural short-course offroad race
in Las Vegas. OffRoad Racing is a *niche* market, which suffers from a LACK
of media-coverage: no LIVE TV (the TV coverage is 1 month delayed, on an
obscure TV channel). The OffRoad Racing community is excited about how this
LIVE vlogging is helping the sport with exposure.

I'm thinking LIVE Vlogging Moblogging, can maybe get a NASCAR thing going
for OffRoad Racing. I.e., an Advertising Model: demonstrate webhits,
develop advertiser interest, grow the sport.

You'll note that I was doing *individual* LiveWebCasts for race-teams
sponsors. That fits right in with the wearethemedia modus-operanda: Heck,
a team-member for each team can do a LiveWebCast for that team!

I had my Powerbook with me at the track, I WAS going to upload a video
clip of the race-cars using my wireless card. (woulda taken 10 minutes,
after I stopped recording). I actually had the capability to do live
video-streaming from the laptop, using the wireless-card.

Is there anyone else on this Video Blogging list, who is doing the *live*
video blog..like I'm doing?

[videoblogging] CVS Digital Videocamera hack

2005-08-03 Thread Jen Simmons
x-tad-biggerBOING-BOING reports today:
CVS's single-use digital camcorders unlocked
/x-tad-biggerx-tad-bigger The American drug-store chain CVS sells single-use camcorders that use access controls to keep you from downloading the video, requiring you to go to the store and pay a hefty fee for development of your videos. Now, MAKE Blog reports that enterprising hackers have reverse-engineered the firmware and are releasing tools to download your movies to your PC without paying CVS for the privilege. It still won't mount on your desktop in mass storage mode, but that seems to be just around the corner.

http://www.makezine.com/blog/archive/2005/08/cvs_camcorder_u.html?CMP=OTC-0D6B48984890

What's this mean?? Well if this becomes easy enough, videobloggers will be able to buy a (very low-quality) digital videocamera for $30. Anybody on this list want to try it and report back on how this works??

I agree with this. While I think the Apple Store presentations provide
a great venue (there aren't very many retail stores with theaters in
them), I'm not sure that I think an event like Vloggercon should be so
tied to one vendor.

Apple is cool, and many of us are Apple users, but there are many more
Windows users who will be left out of the party.

Apple should be coming to our conference, not the other way around

Not really. Previously they had been able to pull data off the flash by
disassembling the camera, removing the flash chip and inserting it into

Consumer doing it. Now they've been able to pull the data directly off
the camera through USB, which means that it'd be possible to do by
buying a special cable off the Internet after purchasing the camera.

[videoblogging] Re: Freeplay Music: Warning

2005-08-03 Thread Steve Watkins

Sure, my post was really a response to Pat's apparent hope that he is
immune from their terms because his stuff isnt for profit, his
complacency. I just wanted to clarify that stuff because he sounded
far too hopeful that he is exempt, compared to your experience.

Anyway thanks very much for sharing what happened with the group, its
helpful because you clearly arent the only one who assumed its free. I
havent used the service myself, I just checked out their terms
conditions to see how clear this issue was. It looks like its mostly
the 'free' bit in their name which is the most confusing thing, the
license is pretty clear, maybe they should be called cheapplay or
something ;)

I guess there are various factors which make it a bit confusing for
the masses of humans in this digital era, its not so obvious when
things have to be paid for. Things are pretty simple with physical
goods, they have a price and you buy them, or if you steal them then
you know youve stolen them. Not so with services, licenses, digital
stuff.

And in particular its kind of a new world for content licensing - the
customers/users of these licenses in the past were in some capacity
doing it as their profession, in a commercial world where its safe to
expect that everything has a price and the legal department can pour
over contract smallprint issues.

Now things are changing, if we are the media then who are our lawyers
lol? Creative Commons helps, but its just one piece of the jigsaw, and
many of the nastiest bumps on the videoblogging road ahead are likely
to be caused by the legal/financial realities that the existing old
world may impose on us, when many of us might not be the sorts of
people to spend forever searching for the relevant rules.

Were sort of lucky at the moment, in that if the world decided to
throw every law and license term that exists at every videoblog and
videoblogger that exists, lots of people could be screwed.

Cheers

[videoblogging] VlogMap.org Available on Google Earth

The VlogMap.org data is now available for Google Earth.

The Google Earth application is currently only available for Windows,
but I highly recommend you check it out (especially the 3D buildings
in major cities).

Please following these simple instructions to set things up...

1.) Download Google Earth (http://earth.google.com/)
2.) Click the Add dropdown menu
3.) Choose Network Link
4.) Name the link VlogMap
5.) Set the Time-based Refresh to 12 hours
6.) Set the View-based Refresh to Never
7.) Enter the following URL into Location input box..

http://www.vlogmap.org/i/data/vlogmap_gearth.xml

Note, I just got this working and it will continue to improve over
time. Also worth of noting... we just got our first (South) African

[videoblogging] Re: Freeplay Music: Warning

2005-08-03 Thread Tomás

What's confused me is this part of freeplaymusic's terms of use:

3. Private Non-Commercial Use (Non-revenue generating or
associated) ... may be used (broadcast, synchronized and/or copied)
without fee.

And in their faq:

6. What is a personal, non-commercial use? Generally, a personal,
non-commercial use involves synchronizing music in home videos or
content that you produce for friends or family (non-revenue
associated or generating - either directly (payment) or indirectly
(sponsored or banner ads)

Having read that, I was under the impression that if I made a home
video for family and friends and posted it on my blog I was fee
free. Having read the previous posts I now wonder how a personal,
non-commercial video can be distributed and still use the music fee
free?

I've noticed that on their rate card they list: Podcasting and Blogs
$25.00 per Freeplay Music title for 12 months. And also: Internet
and Website Use ... Individual (Personal, Non-Commercial): $50.00 per
Freeplay Music title, unlimited web use, annual.

So it appears to me that the fee to use music in a video for family
and friends (as defined by number six above) costs more than if it's
used in a blog or vlog that is potentially available to a much larger
audience.

All the best,
Tomás

Michael, does FeedBurner use the feed at:

Because that feed is not properly using enclosures. I assume
 FeedBurner
is doing it's magic to create an RSS 2.0 feed with enclosures.

Since today, if your videoblog is in Mefeedia, it will automatically
make your videos easily searchable by Yahoo video search. So make sure
your feed is in Mefeedia.

(Techie: this is because Mefeedia generates a MediaRSS feed that lists
your new videos with links back to your permalink and stuff which
makes it easier for Yahoo to find/index your vids.)

I use feedburner because, originally, I had a blogger blog and needed
some way to get an RSS 2 feed with enclosures. When I switched to
WordPress I didn't want to change my feed address that people where
subscribed to. Also, feedburner offers a bunch of stuff for your
feed (flickr splicer, browser friendly layout, itunes stuff, etc.)
that's really easy to configure. Now, apparently, another benefit is
not having to fix your feed and your links when the archive moves
stuff around.

Ultimately, I'd like to do that redirect thing so that I could use
feedburner, or not, without changing the url. But that would require
me to change it in order to set it up. So I guess I'll wait until
(if) Feedburner doesn't work for me any longer.

Becoming part of this community is the best thing I can imagine toward
finding a core audience of friends, supporters, advocates, partners and
empathizers.

Learn about vlogging by visiting others' vlogs. When you see something you
like, look at the source code  adapt to your needs; follow others' links;
watch learn by doing, failing, asking for help doing it right.

Make media. Help others make media.

This has very likely been asked before. But I'll shamelessly ask.

I put on my first video at my blog site, cirne.blogspot.com and I
added that site to mefeedia.com (look for cirne, there's two there

recommend for putting up vloggs? Is there better methods than using

Re: [videoblogging] Re: stuff..

2005-08-03 Thread Jen Simmons

I got a lots of traffic for my Bush for Peace film
http://www.bushforpeace.us
by searching the web for people who've got blogs that might like this
film (political progressive blogs) and then I'd email each blogmaster
personally (not a mass email), introduce myself and ask them if they'd
watch my film and blog it if they liked it. Only a fraction of the
dozens of people I'd emailed would do this, but from each link I'd get
hundreds of new viewers... and then some of those would link to the
site...

I also, of course, emailed everyone I knew when I launched the project,
and asked them to forward the email. Overall I've gotten about 10,000
visitors by doing this over the course of two years. Not huge, but
definitely the biggest total audience for any project I've done!! And
while the film traveled all over for 90+ film festival screenings
globally (as part of the Media That Matters and resfes 2004 tours among
other individual screenings), the on-line audience was bigger than the
total festival audience.

[videoblogging] Introductions...

2005-08-03 Thread Dmitry Shapiro

Hello all,

I have been reading this newsgroup for sometime, but this is my first
introduction.

My name is Dmitry Shapiro, and I am one of 10 guys working on Veoh
(pronounced VEE OH).

We are about to announce a Series A venture capital financing (for the
non-geeks : we got a lot of green from some groovy investors) and
the upcoming release of our beta.

The beta will be by invitation only, but we are HUGE proponents of
video blogging, and will get everyone in this group a beta account if
you are interested.

To read up on Veoh or me, you can go to the web site: http://www.veoh.com

In a nutshell, we are an Internet Television Network, that allows
anyone to broadcast tv-grade, full-screen video/audio to the world. We
are looking for HIGH QUALITY, FULL SCREEN video, encoded at about 400
MB per hour using MPEG 4, DivX preferred. You can upload it to our
system, or we can suck it down from your RSS feed, but we want the big
files, not the stuff that you put on your web server, or in your blog
for browser-based delivery. We see vloggers consolidating a number of
vlog entries into a larger episode of their show, and making it
available in full-screen tv-quality to their subscribers.

To participate, users download our software (Macs and PCs supported),
it connects to our directory, they can find shows by keywords, tags,
scrubbed metadata, etc, and download them with a single click. They
can also subscribe to shows that will be delivered to them
automatically as new episodes are published... like TiVo's Season
Pass. There is no cost to broadcast or subscribe, but in the future
we will allow publishers to charge for content if they choose.

In the background, we run a closed P2P network that takes care of
content delivery and caching... Similar to Bit Torrent, but more
optimized and secure... (My personal background is in P2P/IM security
and online communities.)... We wrap all of this in community
features to provide a centralized place to publish, find, discover,
and discuss content. Think Flickr for Video or Odeo for Video.

Did I mention that when you submit your high-quality video to Veoh, we
can automatically publish it to Google Video as well? Yep, it's
true...:-) this allows users to find your stuff in Google (after they
have significantly transcoded it to a lower quality), and get the
high-quality file from Veoh.

Our investors are very high profile in the media space, so we have
access to lots of maistream media, but our primary focus is the Long
Tail of video. We want Independent News, How-To shows, Reality Shows,
Crazy Stuff (adult allowed), Political Commentary (someone's got to do
a parity of Bill O'Reilley), Comedy, etc.

Also, we have job openings for people with a passion for free media,
vlogging, and technology, so if you have some spare time, or full
time, ping me with a bio, and what you would like to do. If it is
really cool, we have $$$ and gear around to support it.

If you have specific questions, please feel free and ping me directly
at [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Hey, sorry for the long intro, but hope that our joint efforts will
help democratize media so that the world's informatiion is free
flowing, and lone voices can have a huge impact without be silenced by
mainstream media noise All of us at Veoh are working hard to make
this happen.

[videoblogging] rhizome 1.2

2005-08-03 Thread Adrian Miles

hi all

made changes to the rhizome movie. Andreas has also written a way
cool thingie to autogenerate a xml file, however will be a while
longer before i figure out how to read multiple entries from xml

I still have not solved the RSS problem, so if you want to use this
template and have it survive syndication email me off list with the
*full* url of where you want rhizome.xml to live. It it a 30 second
job to change the .mov for you.

what follows is verbatim from my blog. the required files are at:
http://hypertext.rmit.edu.au/vlog/vog/rhizome/rhizome1.2.tgz
http://hypertext.rmit.edu.au/vlog/vog/rhizome/rhizome1.2.zip

I've spruced up the first rhizome movie template so that now it reads
its associated XML file. It operates in exactly the same way as the
earlier rhizome movie, the difference is that by entering the
appropriate pathway into the associated XML file you can load a movie
into each child track of any name. The child movies can reside
anywhere, just make sure you enter a valid url.

FAQ

What is it?
rhizome.mov is a little movie that lets you load two other videos
into it. Each of these plays, and loops continuously. They are
independent of each other so you can load films of different duration
into each of the video windows. Mousing into each video enables the
volume for that video and mutes the other.

Where does the XML file have to be?
The rhizome.mov file has a script inside of it that looks for a file
called rhizome.xml, and loads this file. rhizome.xml must reside in
the same directory as rhizome.mov

Can I rename rhizome.mov?
Yes, you can call it what you like, but make sure it still ends in
.mov. The only thing you cannot rename is rhizome.xml.

Where do I put the two movies that are going to be loaded into rhizome.mov?
Well, where you like really. Just make sure that you point to them
properly within rhizome.xml.

Do the URLs I put in rhizome.xml have to be full URLs?
No, they can be relative paths, and they should be relative to the
location of rhizome.mov. In other words if you placed your two child
movies in the same directory as rhizome.mov you could just write
their file names within rhizome.xml

What file formats do my child movies need to be in?
Any format that QuickTime can view. At the moment that is .mov, .mp4,
and some varieties of .avi, as well as various other formats.

What size should my video be?
Each of the video panes is 160 x 120 pixels. You can compress your
video to be larger but it is only going to be visible at 160 x 120
pixels.

How compressed does it need to be?
Up to you, but remember you are playing 2 videos from 2 sources at
the same time inside of another movie. So the lower the bit rate and
frame rate, the better things will be. If you try and load 2 20 meg
videos into this, then outside of big broadband on a dual processor
G5, not a lot will actually work for anyone. (Remember, this is
networked video, the network is narrow, and small.)

Um, what's a child movie?
rhizome.mov is a container movie that loads two other videos and then
plays them. These two other movies are child movies. They exist
independently (and play independently) of the container (parent)
movie.

And I would do this because?
That's for you to answer. In this rhizome movie you get two
independent movies that play independently of each other, and which
loop. Fixed, linear timelines are irrelevant when you publish video
on a computer. This is a simple machine to help get your head into
that time.

Re: [videoblogging] podcast-a-thon / podcast awards

2005-08-03 Thread Pat Cook (Jeeper One TV)

Hi everyone:
At 04:16 AM 8/3/2005, you wrote:
The podcasters are
discussing a podcastathon and podcastawards.com on their yahoo group for
those of you who are interested in such things. Which is not to say I
think we should discuss either here but rather let the podcasters discuss
it to death and note their conclusions so we don't have
to.
I'm aware of the discussions Jan, but beyond that*Huh???*
*scratching head*
In fact,
discussions about a vlogathon are ongoing (through the initiatives of
mostly Raymond Chuck) over at

http://www.screenvlog.com/vlogathon/ if you want to participate and
personally, I think you should :)

We shoot for a Thanksgiving 2005 date around which to do
this thing. Based on yesterday's videoconference, looks like we like the
idea of raising money for kids somehow, kids and
media.
It isn't that we podcasters don't like the idea of doing something for
charity. It's just that there are technical issues which, like it
or not, simply cannot be avoided. And since we're talking about
using video, this brings about more issues.
I never said on the podcasters group that a Podcast-A-Thon wouldn't work
(though admittedly I did use those words, which was a poor judgement on
my part). What i was aiming at was the fact that it would have to
be done differently than the original poster had thought. I
basically said that about the only way it would work was if there
was a centralized place with a lot of bandwidth for one to upload
their podcasts (a.k.a KYOURadio.com, which would be prime for
something like this assuming Viacom would be interested in pitching in)
and for people to subscribe to the feed and download podcasts.
OTFS, unlike us podcasters, there is no place like KYOURadio.com
type of website for us video bloggers to utilize (I don't count the IA
because it would be useless in a time sensitive
environment/situation). This needs to change. Jay, any chance
that MNN might somehow step up to the plate to fill this void?
Steve G. or Ryanne, what about Boston area CA TV? Would they
be interested in stepping up?
I wished I could've jumped in on yesterday's video conference (even if
all I can do right now is audio only till I get a better, more updated
cam), but alas, I digress... I'll just have to wait till next
time. :-) In the meantime, anyone have an idea when the
archive from yesterday will be ready? Just wonderin'
:-)
Cheers for now :-)

[videoblogging] Re: getting i-tunes feed

2005-08-03 Thread jonny goldstein

Guess I wasn't clear. How to I create a feed from my own vlog that
will show up in i-tunes? Or does my regular feedburner from
jonnygoldstein.com that works w/FireAnt and mefeedia work for i-tunes?
And how do I get apple to list my feed in i-tunes?

Someone must have written this up already?

just open up itunes...click on music store then click podcasts.
Select submit a podcast, and follow the instructions from there.
you'll need a mac.com or aol.com account, but you can set one up for
 free.

you can also to to mefeedia.com and register your feed. it will
supply you with a chiclet for itunes as well.

Just so you don't think I'm a total leech, I did spend awhile going
 through old posts to this
list, but didn't find what I needed.

[videoblogging] Re: Freeplay Music: Warning

2005-08-03 Thread Erin Nealey

Pat - I have used 6 complete songs from Freeplay Music. They did not
ask for the web address of my site, so I did not give it. I didn't
count two more of them where I only used 10 seconds of audio at the
beginning for the intro.. which would have totalled it up to $200. Is
that wrong do you think? I guess if he decides to visit my site and
thinks I owe him for those, I'll have to pay. This was all for past
violations.. including one that hadn't even been up for 24 hours. The
terms are all clearly written.

I've been thinking about this for the past two days now. What upsets
me about this site is first of all, the name. Secondly, it's way too
easy to just go and start downloading without looking at the terms. I
think they should have you register on their site and make sure you
have read the terms before you download anything... maybe even a popup
that forces you to read the terms...? You could even pay as you
download. I really can't see many people willing to pay this kind of
money for using this music on a personal website/blog/podcast. It's
almost like it's set up to trap people. I've heard back from several
of you off list who are making the same mistake I made... so it's not
just me.

Anyway, I'm still upset about this as you can probably tell... I'll
stop now. If any of you are using Freeplay Music, unless you are
willing to pay $25 a pop, I would suggest taking it down!

One thing I've learned from all of this... Why not help the people who
are putting free music up for us to use? They get credited, and we get
free music. Who can lose? There is plenty of podsafe music out there.

ErinHow many tracks have you used in your video blog to be hit up
for $200? I only use the one for my open and close and a 30 second
cut of another for my political rant (and even that is only when I
have one). Also, did they hit you up for past violations or did they
just say something like Give us $200 and you can use all the tracks
you have on every video blog post you want for a whole year and
call it even?

[videoblogging] ATTN: Erin

2005-08-03 Thread Pat Cook (Jeeper One TV)

Hi everyone:

Erin...Would you mind if I pass your message along about
FreePlayMusic (or point to the Yahoo! assigned URL on the group page)
to some other people I know that use that site as well? I'd leave
your email out so you don't get spammed, but would keep your video
blog included (unless of course you indicate otherwise). :-)

Figured I'd better ask first before going ahead out of the sake of
proper netiquette if ya know what I mean. :-)

Cheers for now :-)

Pat
