Sometimes you can find them in the bargain bins at places like Walgreen's

Hi Tony,
Sure. I
Rotor is in the VoiceOver settings.
So, Settings, General, Accessibility, VoiceOver, Rotor, then there will be a
lot of things to select or unselect. The only way you know something is going
to show up in the rotor is if it says Selected, when you are flicking through
them.

The small problem there being that I can't find the rotor even though I have

that I had was the klaxon that announces the, extremely, rare phone call.
I could get the rotor when in iAssociate, but when I did that

I once bought a talking thermometer at a drugstore. They aren't a specialty
item. That is probably why his insurance is paying. As I recall, they are
not that expensive.
Take care,

Sharonda,
Does the white noise app have a timer? I was looking for an app that you could
set a timer for the app to run for say two hours then shut itself off. Thank
you for answering my question.

Hi Tony,
Sure. I would like the name of that thermometer. I'm really surprised your
insurance company spraying for that. They actually would let you get something
accessible and pay for it. Wow! Congratulations!

I just got a talking unit as a benefit of my insurance company. I can find the
name of it tomorrow if you are interested. I'm not too happy with the forehead
reading but the in-the-ear reading seems to be pretty good and is repeatable.
I also found that I can point the ear end of the unit
Mike,
Hints is a Voiceover feature, it is in Voiceover Settings under "Verbocity".
You can also select hints to be a rotor item where it's easy to turn it on if
you generally speaking want it off and only want it on occasionally. I can't
remember if it's on the rotor by default or not, just go
Now, that is a good question. Need to check that out.

Hi Mike,
As the others already suggested, turn on Hints and then when you touch a number
on the keypad hold your finger there for just a moment and the letters should
speak. I personally have hints disabled because these numbers are so part of my

I guess taking a look at the maxiaids.com website might give you some options

Are you using gmail with POP or IMAP on your PC? If you are using POP you
really need to switch to IMAP and clean up your gmail folder so that going

It is almost two years old and refers to iOS 9, but the information is still

Hi! To me it works in iPhone 7. Check if "phonetic feedback is active in
VoiceOver settings. If it doesn't work try to activate Hints in the rotter or
in VoiceOver settings in "audio"

Has anyone else noticed with the latest IOS update; 10.32, that when you pull
up the keypad within the phone app, if you set the focus on a number it'll say
the number and not the corresponding letter of the alphabet?
This feature came in handy when dialing a number from most TV or radio ads
