Re: Twitterrific and refreshing
Hi, I cleared my cache in the app and that seemed to help. I’m not brought to the top when new Tweets come in, but when I move to lists, it refreshes better now. If I flick right from the top row of lists, past the search box, I land on the most recent Tweet. :) That’s the way I prefer it. *Crosses fingers it works for a while. Re: Concerns regarding the Outlook app, and email addresses
Hi! I'm facing the same issue and that's why I'm using native Maill app for private purposes and Outlook for iOS for lists. I can't be sure but I suspect Outlook autocompletes the addresses from the Gmail contacts from the web. I configured this Gmail account and noticed suggestions could be from my Gmail contacts accidentally added when replying via web interface who knows when and why. Try to visit www.google.com/contacts with your credentials and try to clear all entries there. S poštovanjem Gordan Radić 12.10.2016. u 1:03, Terri Stimmel je napisao/la: Hello everyone, I am very frustrated over something, and I am really hoping someone can help me. I have a 5 S, not that I think it matters in this case. It is updated to the latest update. I use the Outlook app on my phone now, because I prefer it over the mail app. I usually send emails from my phone, as it is just easier a lot of the time. Most times I don't have trouble. I think I could work around the issue. But I don't know how I did it. Anyway, when I go to send a message, and I write in the to field, it lists suggestions,. A good amount of the time the suggestions are wrong. So I just write in the address completely, thinking that this will fix the problem. But rarely does it fix the problem. For instance, I am writing to you all from my laptop, because I can't seem to send mail to this address, using the app. Also, I could add this account back to the mail app, and struggle along that way. But I am not interested in doing this. For some reason, there are addresses to people I haven't ever written, or maybe to someone I have written once. But I don't even know how these addresses got in there, because a lot of them are addresses from a long time ago. How can I fix this issue? How can I find all of these addresses, and delete the ones I don't want? Also, can I add addresses that I do want? I looked at the people section to see what was in there. It was nothing helpful. Just some contacts from my Iphone, and a bunch of unnamed contacts, with no information inside. One day I need to work to get rid of all that. Anyway, of course, my laptop recognizes when I go to type in an address. But that's Thunderbyrd. So I figure this is completely different,. Any help would be very much appreciated. Re: looking for music app
Great apps for accessing your music are Dropbox, Google Drive, Tonido, and Open Drive. I am sure there are others, but those are the first that come to mind. With Dropbox, Google Drive and Open Drive, you have to drop files into the programs on your PC in order to access the files, but with Tonido, it allows you to access your computer, even access external hard drives. I prefer it over any of the others. -Original Message- From: 'Ming' via VIPhone Sent: Wednesday, October 12, 2016 4:05 AM To: viphone Subject: looking for music app hi all! any music app that we can upload music on the computer music library and play it on our IPhone?when we are on the go. it used to have an app call M-spot Music. but, it seems doesn'tt work any more... dictating a post in Facebook
Hello everyone, I was wondering if someone could help me? For some time now, I have been having trouble posting anything to facebook, such as a status, or a comment. When I try to post, and I am usually dictating, the post always somehow gets jumbled up. The beginning of the post might end up in the middle, and the middle of the posting might up at the end. Unfortunately, I am not good at fixing these sorts of things. I am not good at fixing dictation errors either, unless they are at the end of something I have written. I know a good many things about my Iphone, but not this. Anyway, what could be causing my facebook posts to do this? Is there a way to stop this from happening? RE: dictating a post in Facebook
I hate posting on Facebook unless I get something I can do through e-mail on the computer. It totally screwed up a message I sent yesterday, dictating because the phone was in my hand, a keyboard was not! Terrible! Worse since the last update in my opinion. Kim, I've got music on my phone, that got added either by buying cd's, then adding their songs to my iTunes library, and then some music comes from albums I've bought at the iTunes Store. Either way. That music lives in the library tab of the music app, and can be accessed even without a wifi or cellular connection. Hope this answers your question. Egun On, Lagunak! facebook on IOS10
Hi, I have an inaccessible screen on my Facebook app now, which I am told says I need to go into the settings app on my phone, and manage my passwords from there. Once I get there, everything looks right to me, but there is a delete this account button to choose. Could it actually be that I have to delete this entry from my phone in order to use the Facebook app now?i find this to be very counter-intuitive, and I really don't want to delete my Facebook account. It's not clear to me if this deletes the Facebook account from their servers, or just a newly unnecessary feature from my iPhone settings. Anybody know? RE: dictating a post in Facebook
Oh, forgot to say I hate editing on the screen, was easier with my old Otterbox case, but it went away with my 6, and I got SE because I wanted something smaller with earphone capability without having to carry another piece and I don't care about the 3-D stuff or the weird home button either. New purse, needed to get smaller phone to carry, not my choice but old one mostly fell apart, of course I had it since 1990 and they don't make that one any longer! LOL. question about a couple of iOS 10 default settings
First, when I did the reset by going to settings, general, reset and then reset home screen layout, I noticed that mail was in the top left on the first page, while messages was in the doc. Didn't this used to be the other way around before iOS 10? Or, at least, wasn't messages up in the top left corner after doing that reset? Of course, with the new way to move apps around now, it was very easy to put things back to my liking. Second, just being curious here, but, does anyone know what the default speaking rate for VoiceOver is in iOS 10? Since I've only done the over the air update from iOS 9 to iOS 10 on my 6S and 6S plus, and I'm too lazy to just do a complete reset on one of my phones, I don't have this information. -- The following information is important for all members of the V iPhone list. Re: looking for music app
No, it has nothing to do with blue tooth at all. You install a desktop client, sign into it, then get the app and sign into it and you can access everything on your PC or you can set it to just certain folders that you want to access. The site is not 100 percent accessible, but it can be done. I use it all the time to access two of my external hard drives. -Original Message- From: Robert Doc Wright Sent: Wednesday, October 12, 2016 6:58 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: looking for music app with tonito do you have to be in bluetooth range or does it work like a ftp client? - Original Message - From: "MamaPeach"To: Sent: Wednesday, October 12, 2016 6:00 AM Subject: Re: looking for music app Great apps for accessing your music are Dropbox, Google Drive, Tonido, and Open Drive. Re: Clearing All Notifications
Thanks for this reminder, Sieghard. I knew I had seen that somewhere. It was probably back in the beta time and I had seen some kind of list of things, and actually used it. Then I forgot how to get it. And I was mystified because I was not able to find a clear notifications that would get rid of everything for multiple days. Very useful. Now maybe I can remember it this time. This is a really stupid question, but at least it's worth a shot… Have you rebooted your iPhone recently? Try rebooting both your computer and your iPhone. If that doesn't work, I would give the accessibility answer desk a call to see if they can troubleshoot the issue. They might be able to do something on their end. RE: Clearing All Notifications
Hi Christopher, I beg to differ, you can clear all notifications even from multiple days at least you can with a device that supports 3D Touch. You might be able to do the same without, but I don't have access to a non 3D Touch phone right now to check it. RE: iTunes No Longer Recognizing my iPhone
Also try different USB ports. If your computer has USB 3.0 and USB 3.0 ports you may want to try a USB 2.0 port instead of a USB 3.0 port. I am not saying this will fix it, but I recently ran into a situation which had nothing to do with iTunes. I was trying to create a Windows 10 installation on a USB thumb drive. I used the Microsoft Media Creation Tool and for some reason creation of my Windows installation always failed when it reached somewhere between 60 and 70%completion. I did some Google searches and came across a post on a forum where somebody ran into the same problem and they solved it by using a USB 2.0 Port instead of a USB 3.0 port. I also had my USB stick which was a USB 3.0 stick, plugged into my laptop's USB 3.0 port and as soon as I switched it to a USB 2.0 port and ran the Media Creation Tool again the Windows installation went perfectly fine and completed without a problem. I learned in almost 30 years of using computers that sometimes even things which may not seem like they'll make a difference in fact do make all the difference. Oh yes. That’s because I also do not have a 3d touch capable phone. Sorry for my apparent ignorance. I was aware of it, just not thought about it at the time of writing. Re: question about a couple of iOS 10 default settings
Hi, Funny you mention the first question as I just ran into this after a recent reset myself. So as per my experience at least you're right the positioning of these two was reversed in earlier incarnations. And yes isn't the new way of moving things around just a glorious joyful thing of beauty? I love it. Robin -Original Message- From: Vicky Collins Sent: Wednesday, October 12, 2016 7:20 PM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: question about a couple of iOS 10 default settings First, when I did the reset by going to settings, general, reset and then reset home screen layout, I noticed that mail was in the top left on the first page, while messages was in the doc.
