Hi.  This is a known bug in the BARD app since the release of Ios 17.  I wrote them back in September and they were able to reliable reproduce it on several iDevices.  I think we'll have to wait for an update to the BARD app to fix the issue. In the meantime, going to settings and adjusting

On a recent NLS interview I was part of, Don Olson said, that NLS is aware of certain bugs with bard mobile. They are going to redo some kind of programming thing to see if they can fix some of these bugs in a better way. It was kind of technical. I know about the issue with the sleep timer

The issue with the sleep timer is a bug that NLS is aware of. As for bard mobile not keeping your place in a book after closing it in the app switcher, I am having no issues. I can begin to play a book in bard mobile, then go to my home screen, then close bard mobile with the app switcher
