I just tried it by typing in a phrase.
I then pressed the Go button which is where the Return button normally is on

It showed the text translation.
I then double tapped the play button and it spoke it.

If you have auto translation set to off, to translate the text before
hitting the space bar, press space with dots 4-5. How to enter the @
symbol depends on which table you are using for braille translation.
with UEB, it's dot 4 and then dot 1.
