One thing I have noted with Eyenote is you have to hold the ios device real still and it has to be in line with the bill. I have tried holding my iPad at an angle on the bill and I never get a response. If I hold it in line with the bill then it works. It also does not seem to want to read

I've had pretty good success with the eye note app so far. I tossed a bill on my bed, didn't do anything to unfold it or press it flat, so it was curling up at the ends, and eyenote recognized it right away with no problems. I don't have any other money recognizing apps to compare

I don't see the original question below, but you can get to the settings for eyenote by going into the iPhone's Settings and finding the eyenote app in the list near the bottom. You can toggle having the settings buttons in the eyenote app itself and you can configure how eyenote identifies
