If you have an Apple Store nearby it might be less of a headache for you to
take it there and ask them to help you get it working again

I connected it to iTunes, and it kept telling me that there was a problem with
the update and it would say that iTunes was downloading software for the
iPhone, but then it would keep telling me to restart the update. If anyone has
any more suggestions such as how to put it in recovery road mode
Hi,
How to put your iPhone or iPad into recovery mode
Turn Off your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad if it isn't off already.
Press and hold down the On/Offbutton on the right side (iPhone 6 or later) or

Swipe the slide to power offconfirmation

the iTunes player on the computer to bring it back to life.

you can restore too?
Cheers,
Ben.
