Hi Lloyd,
I don't have MS Word have never used MS Word, but a setting (or something) is
pasting the text as a Hyperlink.
You need “paste special” and select 'unformatted text' in this instance.
Check to make sure the CMMD+V is not assigned to the paste Hyperlink menu.

Hi folks
I had a message on my screen from Time Machine program telling me that I have
either changed the backup volume or someone is trying to redirect the backup to
another disc. I have stopped backups and unplugged the external disc.
Has anyone come across this before?
Cheers

Hi Ronni, Hi Lloyd,
I was intrigued by this - I didn't think the problem was down to whether the
document is plain text or HTML - for example, in Entourage, email addresses
are clickable whether the message is formatted as HTML or plain text.
I'm not sure which version of Word you use Lloyd -

Hi Neil and Ronni,
I am using MS Office 2011 for Mac. But I had the same problem with the
2008 version and was hoping the upgrade would fix it.
Thanks for your input. I have also Word 2004 on my old PowerMac and I
don't have this problem.
You say I have found the fix myself but having
Nice tip, Ronni. I have also set up and will start using the Zoom shortcut.

Hi John,
I have seen setups where the wireless signal to a Time Capsule is a bit weak
and connection with the backup drive is lost. What exactly is your Time Machine
setup. Do you have backups going directly to an external hard drive that you
plug into your computer? If so perhaps the drive
Hi John,
If it’s a directly-connected USB or FireWire disk, eject and disconnect it.
If it has it’s own power supply, either turn it off or unplug it.
Wait a few moments, then Restart your Mac, then reconnect.
Then try re-selecting your Time Machine drive in Time Machine Preferences

The following describes my problem and its solution. I hope it is

I found that text I copied elsewhere and then pasted into an M$ Word

Thanks Ronni and Carlo
The back up drive is cable to Firewire. Your suggestion Ronni is working OK now.

Hi folks, I installed the weatherzone widget 6 months ago (the Mac

I just downloaded the latest update to Microsoft Office 2011. Unbelievably,

Hi again, my issue is specifically about how to get the widget back to
the desktop after whizzing it away with the 4 finger swipe on the mouse
pad. The widget is visible in compressed imagery when swiped away, but I
can't retrieve it to the desktop in its fullness of yore. The loss of it

Hi Peter,
To try to reproduce the problem I downloaded Weatherzone and I had the same
experience as Tony -- it does not appear to run on Snow Leopard.
A minor point that may not be relevant, and that is that one uses a four finger
swipe up (not down) to revel the desktop. A four finger swipe
Ok, thanks for that Carlo. I have been using the Weatherzone widget for around
